Who can join?

Any organisation or company who has an interest in Air Rail links.  Please note that we do not have an individual membership - this is an organisation for companies, organisations and academic institutions of all sizes.

What does membership cost and how to pay?

It costs £2,000 a year, although there is provision for academic institutions and very small consultancies to get a 75% discount.

We also have to charge UK Value Added Tax (VAT) at current rates to members based in the UK and to those based elsewhere in the EU unless they can prove they are registered for VAT in their own country. Members based outside the European Union do not have to pay VAT. Members paying VAT will be sent a receipted VAT invoice on request after we have received their payment.

Ideally the payment should be in pounds Sterling or US Dollars: if not, its equivalent in your own currency is acceptable.   Cheques should be made payable to the International Air Rail Organisation. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact us: details of our Sterling and US Dollar accounts are available on request.

It will also be made available to other IARO members and will be used by the IARO to provide you with the many membership benefits you are entitled to, such as requested documents and task group updates. We will not pass your membership details to any other party without your permission. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act, you are entitled to request a copy of the information we hold about you. You are also entitled to request any amendments or to have your details removed from our database entirely.    From time to time, we may be contacted by students or academic researchers who we believe you may be able to help with project work.
